How old is gaara when he becomes kazekage

Masashi Kishimoto revealed in an interview found in the Jin no Sho that Gaara had originally been a much different character than the one we know today. Because of his sand powers, which he became adapt at during his youth, Gaara learned to battle without getting close to his opponents. Not getting close to his opponents during battle was also a survival technique he learned at a young age.

Even after becoming the Fifth Kazekage, Gaara would continue to avoid close contact when possible. The Kazekage lineage is important to the Suna council. Every son born into the bloodline was expected to marry in order to produce an heir. Gaara however, had no intentions of being with anyone. What we do know is that Shinki has an observant eye, can use Magnet Release kekkei genkai to control Iron Sand, and can create a sand platform attached to his cloak.

Apparently the Suna council has accepted Shinki as an heir if Garra was to die, and he is listed as a shinobi of Sunagakure's Kazekage clan.

Up to this point of the exams, Gaara has yet to even break a sweat or get nicked once because of his abilities. Rock Lee was known for being fast, but during the beginning of the fight, Gaara's Shield of Sand proved to be faster. Might Guy then tells Rock Lee to take off his ankle weights, knowing it would increase his speed. Rock Lee surprises Gaara when he avoids the Shield of Sand and lands the first punch ever to come in contact with him.

Gaara would wind the battle, but it would ironically lead to his next battle with Sasuke Uchiha in which Sasuke would use similar speed techniques while injuring Gaara for the first time ever. After his defeat at the hands of Naruto, Gaara realized that his way of thinking which led to this mad behavior was wrong and that he needed to change. When discussing the past he would often refer to himself in third person as Gaara of the Sand Waterfall, allowing others to see that the Gaara standing before them was not the same person he was in his youth.

Fans often associated Gaara with being a sociopath when he was younger. Ironically, referring to one self in third person can be considered a symptom of that disorder.

How is this possible? Ra however, can also be translated to mean a type of fabric or silk. Could the duel name interpretation have been intentional? Probably not, as Kishimoto would later disclose the name Gaara was suggested to him by his editor.

He would later find out that the editor had based the name Gaara off a name of a ski resort. Can you think of any other interesting facts about Naruto 's Gaara? Let us know in the comments! He even talks about his hobby and why he likes it to other people, which is also amazing. To see this character that was introduced as a rather psychotic killer share his interest in cultivating live plants is a bit surreal.

But it shows just how far Gaara has come. If you think about it, Gaara came a long way as far as his emotional and mental development. He starts out in the series as this sociopathic killer whose hatred of everything hid a very wounded heart from a horrific childhood.

I think the biggest example of his growth is when he comes face to face with his father. As he learns why his father did those things to him, he forgives his father. But Gaara just forgives him, saying that he understood that his father was looking out for the village. You go, Gaara! As far as we know, Gaara has never married or had any children, which proved to be a source of fear for the people of Sunakagure.

This was mostly because Temari had married Shikamaru from Konoha. But this all changed when Gaara ended up adopting a kid. Gaara became a foster father to a young ninja named Shinki. Looks like this kid could prove to be as formidable as his foster father.

So, he changed it up toward the end of Part I, and I have to say that Gaara looks pretty good! It definitely makes him look a bit older and more mature. But did you know this outfit had a rather interesting inspiration?

And looking at the two, I can see the similarities. Now I want to see Gaara in The Matrix ; that would be so cool! Did you know that Gaara almost got married? Well, it was a bit of an arranged marriage. The council of Sunakagure was worried that if Gaara never got married and had kids, the next heir to the Kage role would be from Konoha since Temari married Shikamaru.

So, they arranged for him to meet the woman they chose for him, Hakuto. Gaara was actually okay with most of this since he saw the logic in it, and when he met Hakuto, he genuinely liked her. Well, meaning that Hakuto was planning to leave Suna with her lover and elope.

It was complicated, but in the end, Gaara let them go. The way the missions go in Naruto is that S-rank are the highest and most dangerous, followed by A-rank, B-rank, C-rank, and D-rank.

Most Genins would complete D-rank and a few C-rank missions. Since he was a young kid, he had to fight to survive and was often forced to become stronger out of necessity. So, he proved to be quite capable at tougher missions.

When he was only a genin, which is one of the lower rankings in the ninja military, he completed many B-Rank missions. This may come as a surprise, but Gaara is actually pretty good with kids.

They just love him for who he is, which is an awesome uncle. It also makes me glad that he did become a foster father. One of the things that Naruto does really well is that it gives pretty interesting backstories even to the characters you may not like initially.

When we first meet Gaara, he seems pretty sociopathic and has this deep hatred for all people, but also this cold indifference to them. Although it's unknown at what age she rose to the position, we do know that she did it in her early twenties, likely by the age of 25, displaying her incredible talent and the ability to lead an entire village in the process.

Aiming to become the greatest Hokage ever right from the beginning of the series, Naruto Uzumaki achieved this goal quite late in the series, although at a young age. By 17, Naruto had already gotten through the Fourth Great Ninja War, and within the next few years, he married Hinata.

Boruto was born shortly afterward, with Himawari being born two years after him. While an exact age isn't provided to us, it can be assumed that it took Naruto about years after the conclusion of the war to become the Hokage, making him at least 25 when he achieved his goals.

Before the age of 18, he was already a full-fledged shinobi, strong enough to take on several Jonin at once.

After leading the village in the Third Great Ninja War, Hiruzen Sarutobi passed on the title of the Hokage to Minato within the next few years, making him an extremely young Kage.

Minato's reign was short, and it lasted for just years. Since Minato died at the age of 24, it can be assumed that he became the Hokage at the age of 21 at the maximum. Also known as 'God of Shinobi' and 'The Professor', Hiruzen Sarutobi was described as the strongest Hokage ever in his prime, except for Naruto, of course.

Training under the likes of Hashirama and Tobirama, the young Sarutobi was bound to become Hokage at some point. It was during this war when Hiruzen, still in his teens at that point, was appointed as the Third Hokage of Konoha, due to his bright Will of Fire. He went on to become the best Hokage in the series, and his will was later inherited by Naruto Uzumaki himself. Described as a failure by his father, Gaara took pleasure in killing whoever crossed his path until he met Naruto Uzumaki.

After connecting with Naruto and being understood for the very first time, he saw the errors in himself and aimed to become an excellent shinobi. By the age of 15, Gaara was already the Kazekage, making him the youngest Kage ever in Naruto.
